🎨 About Art Time
Welcome! I’m Amy Ju — artist, educator, and mother of three.
Art Time is a place where children create boldly, think deeply, and grow whole — just as they are.
Inspired by my own children and the work of art educator Viktor Lowenfeld, I started Art Time to give young minds a space where they can express not just what they see, but what they feel and wonder about. Here, art is not only a product — it’s a process of discovering the world and themselves.
What We Believe
At Art Time, we believe:
• Every child is already an artist.
• Expression comes before perfection.
• Art is a language of the heart, not just the hand.
Our classes are guided by Viktor Lowenfeld’s belief that creative activity is essential to developing the full potential of a child — emotionally, intellectually, and socially.
We explore the stories of artists, ask big questions about beauty, meaning, and culture, and let kids create their own answers using a wide variety of materials, tools, and techniques.
About Our Classes
• 🎨 Weekly 2-hour sessions for ages 6–12
• 📚 Themes drawn from art history, culture, and imagination
• 🧠 A whole-brain approach: sensory, emotional, cognitive, and creative
• 🖼️ Culminating in exhibits that showcase not just artwork, but thinking
Why I Started Art Time
As a mom of three expressive, thoughtful kids, I found myself wondering —
What is good? What is beautiful? How do I raise whole, curious, caring people?
Those questions led me back to art. To Lowenfeld. To classrooms filled with markers and minds in motion.
Art Time is my answer — and an invitation.
